- Do we need our own data?
- For anything specific to your business, yes — that data is the part a competitor cannot copy. For general capability, existing models are usually good enough that training your own would be a waste of money. Part of the scoping is deciding which side of that line each requirement falls on.
- What does it cost to run?
- Unlike ordinary software, AI features carry a per-use cost that scales with success. We model that before building, because a feature that is profitable at a hundred users and ruinous at ten thousand is a design problem worth catching early.
- How do we know it is accurate?
- We agree the measure up front and build the evaluation alongside the feature, using examples from your own material. A system nobody is measuring is a system nobody can defend when it gets something wrong in front of a customer.
